⚠️ Important: These are real defibrillator units — NOT trainers. They are live medical devices capable of delivering a shock. They must only be operated by persons who have received relevant first aid training or who are under the direction of emergency services.
Equipment Usage
- AEDs are to be used only by those who have received relevant first aid training, or who are under the direct direction of emergency services.
- The hirer must nominate a responsible person with current relevant first aid certificates to operate the device.
- AEDs must be stored safely and kept accessible at all times during the hire period.
Consumables
- If an AED is used, the replacement cost of the battery and used defibrillation pads is payable by the hirer.
- Replacement cost is approximately $300 for Heart Sine and Heart Start FRX models.
Equipment Damage or Loss
- If equipment is damaged, the client will be charged the cost of the replacement part only, not labour.
- If the equipment is in such a state that it cannot be repaired, the client will be charged 50% of the replacement cost.
Hire Rate
$90 per unit per day. Consumables (batteries and pads) are additional if used.
